8 Comments on Don't Select Your New Home By Committee
Doug, I could not agree more!! I have a customer who asks everyone she knows about every house, and always manages to find someone to nix it. PS, she hasn't bought a house yet.
I am suggesting this one AND reblogging it!
PS - I love your logo . . . it's the BEST!
I do agree with you but really...it seems like just about every transaction I have dealt with was, at a mimimum a 2-person board...
I had just clicked 'submit' on my comment when I noticed your logo has an alligator. Remind me to not make any seriously snarky remarks here.
had a couple that would ask their 5 and 7 year olds if they should buy the house. The kids said no to 3 perfect houses that had everything they wanted and needed.
I finally gave the buyers and option. They went and bought one of them that they liked
Thanks for the comments guys! When we formed the company I did not want to pay a graphic artist for the logo. As a result, "logo draft one" was a cypress home in swamp. Not very appealing. Thankfully I listened to my partner and the artist came up with the gator logo. Best money I have ever spent!
I sold a house to a guy and you should have seen it when his girlfriend saw it for the first time. There was no room for her clothes. Ooops.
There is nothing worse than backing out of a deal during the inspection period because a "committee member" has not viewed the home.
I ask my buyers agent to be right up front at the second showing " Let's get everybody involved in the decision and decide while putting it in writing "
