Identity Theft

The FTC has a program called "Deter, Detect, Defend" which is an excellent presentation on Identity Theft. As a value added service to my Notary Business, I offer a 1/2 hour presentation of this information. I am always looking for audiences and welcome any referrals or interested prospects in the San Diego area.

In todays world, that is good information for everyone, not just notaries.

You are so right, Terry, and I do give the presentation to everyone who is interested, not just notaries. I have given it to Kiwanis Clubs, Churches, and Senior Centers, as well as local businesses.

The 1/2 hour Identity Theft presentation I give is FREE to non-profit organizations, churches, Kiwanis, Lions, Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, Senior Centers, etc.

The reason is it is exposure for my business, and more contacts for me. It works. My philosophy is to always remain visable and professional.

As a victim of ID theft this is valuable information to someone who actually been thru it.

I agree, I never thought of doing anything like this. I do some side marketing with people that I have had contact with, but never thought of your idea. Great for consumers!
