5 Reasons Why It's An Awesome Day!
Another Chance at Life
With each new day, you are given another chance at life, a gift if you will. Each new day is also the beginning of another days end; and by concentrating on moving forward instead of dwelling in the past, you’ll be living a successful life. If success is defined as the progressive realization of a worthy goal or ideal, then with each new day we are given the chance to move forward in life and be successful.
“Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present." Eleanor Roosevelt
"When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive - to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love." Marcus Aurelius
Seek Forgiveness
With each new day were are given a chance to reach out and seek forgiveness from someone that we’ve harmed or slighted in the past. Some of the best words spoken are, “I’m sorry,” and, “Please forgive me.” We must also be willing to accept forgiveness, and not hold grudges. These can become shackles that will hold us back and prevent us from becoming all that we were meant to be.
"When you hold resentment toward another, you are bound to that person or condition by an emotional link that is stronger than steel. Forgiveness is the only way to dissolve that link and get free." Catherine Ponder
"To forgive is the highest, most beautiful form of love. In return, you will receive untold peace and happiness." Robert Muller
Another Chance to Say "I Love You"
With each new day you get another opportunity of telling those that are the most important to you, or even those that we take for granted, that we "Love Them." After the passing of my mother, which happened right before my eyes in a matter of days, I can't tell you how many times I've questioned myself over this. I've vowed to never let this haunt me again, and with every opportunity I'm paying those three words forward-"I Love You!"
“The greatest weakness of most humans is their hesitancy to tell others how they love them while they’re alive.” Orlando Aloysius Battista
It's Great to Be Alive
It’s a good day to be alive, because the alternative isn’t any better! As a young boy I can remember complaining to my grandma about something, and she told me, “If you think you’re having a bad day, you just try missing one.” It took me many years to understand the wisdom of those words, and appreciate their meaning. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't give thanks, no matter how I happen to feel, good or bad.
"Life isn't fair, but it's still good." Regina Brett
Give Thanks
With each new day we are given the chance to say, "Thanks!" To thank God for everything that's been given to us; we are blessed beyond words, most of us just don't realize it.
"The unthankful heart discovers no mercies; but let the thankful heart sweep through the day and as the magnet finds the iron, so it will find, in every hour, some heavenly blessings!” Henry Ward Beecher
