. New Smyrna Beach is not really part of the Daytona Beach area, but it lies to the immediate south, and is part of East Volusia County. I'm a member of both the Daytona Beach Area Association of REALTORS® and the New Smyrna Beach Board of REALTORS®. I have listings in both areas and MLS systems. 
If you've been following my posts of each city in East Volusia County, the posts for the New Smyrna Beach and Edgewater area will differ slightly from those for the Daytona Beach area since the MLS categorizes the listings differently.
