Do you go to the mall for your holiday gifts? Maybe pick up some gift cards? Some say it's easier - and maybe it is. And gift cards are probably an appropriate gift for those we don't know well - teachers, mail carriers, delivery drivers. I know there is a lot of controversy around the idea of gift cards, and I won't attempt to delve into that subject here, I'll only offer this suggestion: Support your local artists!
There's something special about giving or receiving a handmade, one of a kind item as a gift. I consider myself a pretty creative person and have been known to give my own artwork as gifts: photographs, paintings, etc. Maybe you don't have time to "create", or maybe you don't have a creative bone in your body. Why don't you see what these artists have come up with? You never know what you might find!
