A trip to Wisconsin's Door County isn't complete without attending a Peninsula Players performance.
The Players' first season opened on July 25, 1935 with a presentation of Noel Coward's Hay Fever. The original location of Players performances was behind the Bonnie Brook Motel in Fish Creek, Wisconsin. And after seventy-two years in operation, the Players now occupy a large, modern theater complex in Fish Creek that is well-suited to accomodate the theatre's large and loyal audience.
The Peninsula Players acting company has seen many of its alumni go on to appear on Broadway, in films and on television. The large facility permits acting company members, crew and support staff to reside on-site during the performing season, a tremendous benefit to the artistic mission of the theatre and to the Door County community.
The 2007 season consisted of five productions, each running for two or three weeks. This past season's repertoire included Angel Street, Unnecessary Farce, Little Shop of Horrors, Doubt and Be My Baby.
Attend a Players performance and enjoy not only the production itself, but a magnificent setting, with the theatre grounds surrounded by fragrant cedars and situated along the Green Bay side of the Door peninsula.
