Take a break from your Princeton and Montgomery home search and spend some time enjoying one of Princeton's loveliest holiday events.

 Drumthwacket Mansion, holiday tour 2007

Drumthwacket, the spectacular home of the governor of New Jersey will be decked out in it's finest, with gorgeous seasonal decorations, for it's annual holiday open house.

The theme for 2007 is Christmas in the Highlands.  The home is decorated by NJ Garden Club members.  Garden Club members participating this year include Bayberry of Brielle, Community of Hunterdon, New Vernon, Mt. Laurel, Bridgewater, Essex Fells, Spring Lake, Trowel Club of New Brunswick, New Providence, Tenafly and Westfield.

The Official Garden Club of New Jersey will judge each room and decide which room wins first prize, and will consider the visitors vote for People's Choice in their decision.

Tour guides will be stationed in each room to answer questions.

  • Date: Wednesdays, November 28, December 5, December 12.  Sunday, December 9
  • Time: 11:00AM to 2PM

Drumthwacket Princeton NJReservations are required. To make them click here. A donation of $5.00 to the non-profit Drumthwacket Fountain is suggested.

Lisa,  It looks like a lovely historic home to tour. If I lived in the area, I'd be sure to put this on my calendar.

Thanks for your comment Joanne.  The house and gardens are really beautiful, especially at Christmas.

Ok - That is kind of a neat idea and I really like the fact that the proceeds go to a non-profit organization.
