Hope

Below is a wonderful article I received yesterday.  In todays market of gloom and doom, I thought it was appropriate to pass it along.  We get what we think.  So how are your thoughts today?  Changing our thought process is the first step to a life of positive, hopeful circumstances.  As a famous quote states " It is easy to navigate the helm in calm seas."

Why Hope Matters
by Marci Hannewald   Light your tomorrows with today.  ~ Elizabeth Barrett Browning  Journey to Health MastheadWe live in a society that too often seems addicted to bad news.  TV, radio, newspapers, even friends and family can fill our minds with pessimistic, frightening images, leaving us feeling bleak and drained.  In a world that thrives on drama and dire predictions, how can you maintain a positive outlook?

One word:  hope.  Think of it as an emotional flashlight that pierces doubt's dark night and helps you move forward in a constructive way.  By allowing yourself to see possibility in life's greatest challenges - perhaps through meditation, connecting with nature, or journaling - you regain control of the situation and free yourself from unnecessary suffering.

Hope breeds optimism, and optimism gives you renewed enthusiasm to face your deepest fears.  So next time you find yourself under siege from a barrage of negativity, stop, take a deep breath, choose a higher thought - and remember, you always have hope.  Choose to light your tomorrows with today.
