Wordless Wednesday - One Pitiful Pup

This is our Australian Shepard, Chance, who has a sore on his foot, which he has licked into an infection. The wound isn't a big deal, but we had to get him to leave it alone, thus... THE CONE OF SHAME. The poor guy thumps around the house, slamming into everything, whipping his head around, whining and fussing. The cone is worse than the wound. Just look at that expression!

Feeling Chance's pain.  I wouldn't like the cone of shame either :(

Unfortunately, some of us need those. There are humans that 'lick their wounds' too.

Ahhhh, the dreaded E-collar.  We have several...in all sizes.  This expression though beats all I've ever seen.  Chance looks like he's just been told his photo would be on the internet.

If you go to www.DrsFosterSmith.com  you can find an e-collar that is called the Comfy Cone. It is soft and flexible but still keeps them from reaching the sore spot. Easier on the dog and on you.  Good luck Chance, and just remember, the humans love you.
