10 Comments on I wish people didn't disable comments on re-blogs
Hi, Praful...I think I agree. I just enabled comments on a reblog I did because of this reblog. I think it does encourage more conversation amongst the members.
I've thought this all along. Glad someone said it!
Okay, when you are right you are right. Good job my friend. and Thank you Kasey.
Praful, I, too, like to comment on the reblog as well as the original post. Many times the person who has reblogged has a different take on the post.

Ah! Yes! See, now I get to comment on your reblog. (Thanks by the way!). I love your lead in to the re-blog. And I love that you have 4 comments so far on the reblog. Sweet!
Praful, I think people disable comments because they see so many others do it … without really knowing why. I’m guilty! I will not disable comments on re-blogs unless there is so darn good reason to do so.
Good morning, Praful.... I never disable comments on a reblog..... I like receiving comments but I also like to leave comments on the original post.....
Guilty! I disable comments on a reblog depending on the situation - especially if it is a newly posted content or I am wanting to shift the focus to the other person.
Praful: I know all about reading a re-blog... and then scrolling down to make a comment, and finding that commenting has been "disabled." Poop !
And yes... different threads CAN develop... even when a post is re-blogged more than once. In reading this post... I find I agree with every single point made. What an excellent post.
I think one of the great things about a reblog is that you get to start an entire new conversation... whereas obviously if the comments are blocked, you cannot.
