The wholesale invasion by developers for Apple resulted because Apple did not institute controls from the beginning. Apple users have a right to expect more responsibility from the compay. One private social network application,

One of the reasons I don't use Apple products except for an iPOD that is a decade old....their enclosed structure and control is scary!
