18 Comments on Mr. Jay's Neighborhood - How (Not) To Electrify An Outdoor Shed
Well I take it you got lucky in the hunting woods. So tell us are you going to get the head mounted and if so where will Mommy will let you put it afterward? :~)
Not my shed and not my head James! This was a home inspection, and a very fun one!
You presesnted this one very well. The short cuts that people take, so often come back to cost themselves much more. Thank you for sharing the post with all of us.
LOL Jay! Very funny, The things you see, hope those people don't decide to make a flower garden and dig up that cord... A deer's head, unbelievable.
Jay, Great idea to use as a post, at least this is the first time I saw it used. Sad but this kind of stuff happens more than we want to see in too many homes. suggested
Jay -- but what could go wrong with the program he has set up? I mean shouldn't all cords come out of hiding right in the middle of the doorway? Besides, I am sure he has put a 20 Amp fuse on that electical outlet (just because the cord is only rated to 15 shouldn't be a problem. LOL
Good evening, Jay. People do the darnedest things don't they? We will never run out of blog fodder...
Joe - but the head is frozen! Goal accomplished!
Peg - and where else would you have put it?
Thanks Vince. I think this is Mr. Jay's fourth post!
Steven - so long as things are covered, what's the worry?
Michael - yes, but this sure was a fun post to write!
Jay - some things we find on inspections are kind of comical, you just never know what you might find.
Jay, you are quite the multi-talented person... Home inspector, poet, comedian...
and all around nice guy =)
True Eric, and I just had to have some fun with this one!
Thank you Chris. That Mr. Jay is a pip though. He got started a couple of years ago, but because of his busy schedule can only stop by AR periodically.
Mr. Jay, you are such a smart guy. I know many that will appreciate learning how to electrify that outdoor shed, although this looks like a whole bunch of work to me. Bury, tie up, connect.... I don't know. I am too lazy for that.
Andrea - this post is tongue in cheek. NOTHING about this installation is correct, or safe or well done! Mr. Jay is being facetious!
No.... really? :D
Mr. Jay...had not seen you for a while...was afraid you retired...glad Jay brought you back and alerted us to what someone apparently....over -looked !
Honest injun' Andrea! And scout's honor...
S&D - as you probably know, Mr. Jay is very busy each day with his TV show. Sometimes he breaks away.
Mr. Jay you're so silly, and remember if you're not havin' fun, you're not living.
Jim - it's funny, but as I was writing this I remembered that I had told you some time ago that my next post would be about a buried extension cord and then totally forgot to write it!
Now, Mr. Jay would never have forgotten. He is so with it.
