We should be proud! We have now set a price on lender misconduct, about $2000 per file +/-. Wow, what a deal for the TBTF's. Who says $$$$ can't buy happiness.

Mike, thanks for the comment.  You are correct and think of the accounting benifits.  Now illegal activity is now just an entry on a bank's balance sheet.

Bill,

Throw in not having to mark-to-market on the balance sheet, lower loan loss reserves and now this bailout and Viola, No More Tier 1 Capital problems. They can lower loan loss reserves. No more pesky regulators. They can go back to watching porn...

Wow Bill, that's a good point about accounting benefits. Heck, before long all the TBTF's will be paying "special" dividends to stockholders. Happy Days are Here Again!!!

Mike, unfortunately even the stockholders are being screwed.  The "special" dividends originally targeted for stockholders has been diverted to influence shopping in the house and senate; the Wallmart and Nordstroms of influence peddlers.  There is a two for one sale in the house.
