Apply for new credit in moderation
Thinking about applying for a shiny new credit card? Think again. Every time you apply for a credit card, it's recorded as an inquiry in your credit report. The more inquiries you collect, the lower your credit score.
Why? Opening a lot of accounts gives you the potential to overextend yourself, and creditors don't like issuing credit to someone they don't think can repay it. So just say no to those credit card offers you get in the mail and at retail stores.
Doing these three things can help you improve your credit score. And that will help you improve your interest rates on loans...be approved for an apartment...even get a new job.
I recived this on an email! pass it on!
