Inventory is down!

By
Real Estate Agent with Green Street Realty
Even though real estate news is bleak there is a bright spot, less inventory on the market. As of November 21, 2007 there are 1883 active residential listings in Champaign County. That number is down from a high of over 2000! Sellers just hold tight the odds are getting better you'll see a SOLD sign in the future. That is great news Aaron. I wish I could say the same about my region. Perhaps your region's sellers are also

being more objective.

I have withdrawn several listings and turned down several more because the inventory is too high.  I hate to turn down listings, but if I can't sell them I am not doing myself or my clients any service.  I have some amazing deals down here in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Alabama.  If you need some tax breaks, I have GOZONE properties available.  How would you like 50% bonus depreciation?

We are certainly trying to give them enough information to make objective decisions. Happy Thanksgiving!!

Seems that several agents have been turning down listings that are not priced well. No point in having another house that won't sell. Other homes are seeming to expire and not be picked up again. So some of these things help to make the inventory numbers seem less .. in addition to some homes beginning to sell.
