Historically, Charlotte real estate has not followed market trends as in other cities in the U.S. due to our constant influx of banking transferrees and many other Fortune 500 Companies(we have over 300 represented in Charlotte).

Charlotte, NC real estate is not experiencing nearly the problems that other cities are currently experiencing but, now Charlotte Sellers are extremely 'stressed!'  Charlotte Sellers are used to seeing their home fly off of the market with contracts, oftentimes within the first day on the market.

NOW, Charlotte homes are being listed for extended periods of time and Charlotte Buyers are finding GREAT buys on resales and even getting a break on new construction (which has traditionally been unheard-of during the past 20 years)!  Not only do Charlotte real estate Buyers have the selection of a lifetime, mortgage rates remain at near-30-year lows!

So, if you're interested in receiving a FREE list of homes for sale in the Charlotte area, contact me at 704.491.3310 or email me at http://mailto:Debe@DebeMaxwell.com.  See Charlotte listings at http://www.DebeMaxwell.com  and get in on the BUYER'S ACTION IN CHARLOTTE, NC NOW!

Great selection of homes, fantastic mortgage programs and rates and a beautiful area to boot! What more could a buyer want? If someone is still "just thinking" about buying a home, they need to get off the fence now! Rates WILL be going up very soon and selection of homes will not always be this good! Call Debe today!

Great post!

Debe, thanks for making us aware of the shifting trends in housing in the Charlotte market. It doesn't sound all that bad, more that the buyers are getting the better deals these days.

Absolutely, Gary!  We are definitely in a Buyer's market right now but, Seller's prices are holding fairly well also.  Like the Dallas area, we are a very transient market and continue to have the influx that we've always had.  The only thing that is really slowing us down at all is that Buyers are having trouble selling their homes in other areas of the country.  Hopefully for all, that will improve in the spring!  Thanks for your comment!
