Thurs evening in the gated community of Waterfort Pointe in Windermere FL, this 7,000 sq ft home under construction was destroyed by fire.  Investigation is underway but possibly could be arson.  Here is a picture of a home that is in that community that could be similar to the one the burned.  This home is 5800sq ft.  If it is found out to be arson, everyone pays with higher insurance rates.

OMG... that is awful.  Hope it doesn't turn out to be arson. It could also be contractor neglect (hope he's insured properly)....In any case, awful for the home owner.

Yes it is a shame that such a potentially beautiful home is destroyed.  Maybe the buyers backed out of the contract??  Wouldn't be the first time that a builder or contractor decided to cut their losses by arson to collect on insuranct.  I'll keep you posted as to the out come.
