Perspectives

Real Estate Agent with Aubrey and Associates Realty

It was 20 years ago today that I lost my father.  As I remember him, the thoughts of the time come back to me.  Where we lived, you couldn't hardly give a house away then.  The ensuing years have seen my little hometown go through at least 2 really nice growth spurts where the real estate market did very well.  They are still building neighborhoods where only cows lived when I was a kid.

As I think back, a lot has happened since my father passed, the Berlin Wall came down as did communism.  We have had 4 US Presidents working on getting a 5th.  The economy has done well then ebbed, only grow again.  Yet with all of this, some days it seems like I talked just last week to my dad.  I guess what I am getting at is that things happen, it is the natural flow of things.  Real Estate does well then it doesn't yet as I look back homes across the board have gained significantly in value.  It does me well to remember this, it takes the barbs away from the media and gives it perspective.

Have a great day, and start working on a great next year!!

Tony and Darcy, many have lost sight of the fact that markets do go through cycles but when you have the right perspective you see this as a bump. Then again there are opportunities in any market.
