Yes, I know many of you are having leftover turkey for breakfast today.  But the "breakfast bird" I'm referring to wasn't today.  My turkey for breakfast was yesterday!!  Yes, if the early bird wins on Thanksgiving, then I win!!

My husband was going out of town for business yesterday on Thanksgiving.  He was flying to Europe, so we planned to eat together early.  Problem was, I'm an early riser and I didn't want him to be worried about catching the flight, so I started early.

I wanted to eat early, but not crazy early.  I'm sorry but turkey by 10:00 a.m. is just crazy!  Hehehe.  Oh well, next year we might be more normal.  But hey, the good news was the kitchen was all clean by the time most of you were starting your turkeys.

Hope everyone had a great day.  Now I have some work to do for a buyer, so I'm hitting the comps.  Enjoy your day!

Holy cats, were you up all night cooking?  I so lucked out this year.  Only needed to make 2 pies and a veggie dish.  My sister-in-law (bless her heart) LOVES to cook for a crowd.  There was so much food on the (12-foot) table there was barely room for our plates.  And that's not counting desserts.

Hope your buyer turns into a paycheck soon.

Karen - I know, thank goodness I like mornings!  My college student-daughter was NOT impressed.  I woke her with "help me in the kitchen.  We are eating soon."  The kids thought it was nuts.

Thanks for the well wishes for my buyer.

Michael - Your breakfast sounds wonderful.  wow.  That is enjoying life.

Karen,

We just about had turkey for breakfast.  My husband has a cold and couldn't sleep and for some reason I woke up ready to go at 1:30 AM.  Well, on went the coffee pot.  Then I started to cook.  I had cooked and mashed the sweet potatoes earlier in the week.  So I started making sweet potato pie, then sweet potato casserole, next it was the cornbread dressing and getting the turkey ready for the oven.  I even had time to sit down and get on AR for a while yesterday morning!!!  It was nice not to be rushing, but by 3 PM I was ready for bed!  Thank goodness the guests got the hint when I just about fell asleep standing up.  :)

Kim,  glad to hear others are like me and up and working at crazy times.

Chris...what is "twittered"?  I don't know what that means.  Sorry, but thanks for commenting.

Karen...

I bit into a pellet when I had my morning turkey.

It seems I didn't get all the bird shot out after I shot the bird :)
