Newton, MA is not only a great place to live, it is a safe place to live. Every year Morgan Quinto Press, an independent research publisher, located in Lawrence, Kansas, publishes a list of the 100 safest and 100 most dangerous cities in the U.S.  They look at 371 cities.  For the last five years, Newton, Massachusetts has been in the top 25 safest cities in the U.S.  For 2007 they rank as the 4th safest city in the U.S., up from being the 13th safest city in 2006.  In 2004 and 2005, Newton was ranked as the Safest City in the U.S.  Newton was ranked as the 8th safest city in the U.S. in 2003.
