8 Comments on Homes With A Basement in Ocean Acres...Can You Live Without It?
I thought they were water front with a name like ocean acres...best wishes selling the active homes in your area!
Good information for buyers. There are many buyers who prefer to buy a home with a basement .
Good morning, Laura.... we have several subdivisions in our area with homes built on a slab..... they are less money.... not everyone wants a full basement....everything sells.
Linda...The waterfront sections of Manahawkin are Beach Haven West, which includes East Point and Colony Lakes!
Gita-You're right, but as you know all basements are not created equal.
Barbara-It's interesting, after reading your comment I was thinking new home builders around here don't charge that much for a basement!
A lot of people here do not care for basements because most of them (without proper maintenance) get the dreaded (M) word. Of course if the maintenance had been maintained there would be no problem.. :~)
Laura, that $30K figure sounds about right even for around here.
Dear Laura,
You are so right the list price and actual sales price are rarely the same unless its a bargain. In Texas we don't have many homes with basements, the topography is not the best for basements. I would love to have the extra storage in a basement!

Everything sells at a price...first timers have sooo much less baggage and need for storage...it can be great !
