I love this story! Lake Moultrie just made history and this family will be passing this story down the line forever. This isn't about the one that got away... oh no and the photo proves it. Talk about a big ole fish frying party! I'd need a new fridge/freezer and whole bunch of great inspiring recipes to get through this fish...

Two fishermen say they caught a 138-pound catfish in Lake Moultrie in Cross.
A biologist is expected to look at the fish which may be a state record. According to the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources' website, the largest catfish ever caught in SC weighed in at just over 109. The massive blue catfish was caught in 1991.
The average size of a blue catfish is 3 to 40 pounds, according to DNR.
In April 2009, Mark Bollenberg of Bonneau Beach hauled in a monster Arkansas blue catfish that weighed in at 108.9 pounds. According to the Berkeley Independent newspaper, the fish was caught in the Tail Race Canal in Moncks Corner.
According to TotalProSports.com, the largest catfish ever caught was reeled in by fishermen in northern Thailand on May 1, 2005. The fish weighed in at 646 pounds and measured 9-feet long.
Scientists believe that fish may be the largest freshwater fish ever recorded.
