On Saturday, December 1, 2007, the record for the world's largest Santa
gathering will attempt to be broken. The current record is 3741 Santa's and
belongs to the citizens of Liverpool, so Las Vegas is trying to recruit 4000
people to dress as Santa and run, walk or jog the 1K or 5K race.
The Las Vegas Great Santa Run will
begin at the Freemont Street Experience at 8 AM with a welcome from MayorOscar
Goodman, the honorary head Santa. There will be live entertainment and great
prizes. The run will begin at 10AM with Siegfried & Roy as the honorary
team captains.
You can register for the event here
The fee is $45 for adults and $25 for kids 12 and under. This includes a
brand new 5 piece Santa suit, a ticket to the Magical Forest at Opportunity
Village and
other goodies valued at over $150. All proceeds benifits Opportunity Village
This is a great way to get in the holiday spirit, have fun and help a great
charity. We hope to break the record, so come on out and be a Santa for the
day.
