On the East end of the island of Maui.

The fresh water from the Seven Sacred Pools meets the ocean water right here. The recent rain clouded the water making it look muddy. But the view was still great for all to see.

The roar of the stream washed out the roar of the surf.

Wow, Tom, that's wild looking.  Are these normally quiet little pools with trickles of water coming down?

Juli - The pools generally look like pools with a stream of water filling at one end and overflowing at the other. But the rains cause a rush of water through the pools on a pretty regular basis. A flash flood when it rains on the mountain; and at 400 inches per year, that's a lot.

I don't think there is any place quite like Hawaii to gift with splendid sights and adventures.  Somehow, I don't remember the Seven Sacred Pools.  It makes me want to visit Maui once again.  I've been to Hana however!
