Don't wait to see this outstanding home in "Paradise".  You know I call the Texas Hill Country "Paradise".  This home truly is like living in "Paradise".  What more could you want?

                                                                                                                front of home

Home is located in Flying L Guest Ranch in Bandera, Texas.  If you are not familiar with this wonderful subdivision, it offers a scenic 6,635-yard, par 72, 18 hole golf course, with a driving range and putting and chipping areas.  A fully stocked pro shop and the full service Spike -n-Spur Grill is open for your convenience.

Not interested in golf?  Take a horse back ride through the many trails on the ranch.  There is a ghost town, a general store for shopping, great western entertainment on a regular basis if you like cowboy things.

Not interested in cowboy things?  Enjoy the quiet beauty of the Hill Country from the back porch.  It looks out on the limestone cliffs of San Julian Creek and the community creekside pavillion is just a short walk away.  The water is deep here and swimming and fishing is a must do.  There are picnic tables along the creek for your enjoyment when you buy this incredible property I call "Paradise".

deer at gate

This home sits on 6 lots (approximately 2 acres) at the end of a street with no other homes.  There is total privacy.  Three lots are under fence and the other three lots are for the deer and the axis and the black buck antelope that make their home under the thick trees.  Do you see the deer at the gate?  San Julian Creek wraps around one side and across the back.  The covered patio extends the full length of the home and having dinner outside is so pleasant with the rushing water sounds and the birds singing.  It is hard to find such wonderful amenities and peaceful privacy at the same time.  This home offers both and a generous floorplan with special touches in every room.

                                                                       back patio

The great room features a travertine marble fireplace with custom cabinetry and high ceilings.  The office is right off the great room and also has a fireplace and hand scraped oak floors and box beam ceiling.  The kitchen is magnificent and very large with granite countertops, an island, stainless steel appliances and all the extras you expect in a home like this.  There is formal and informal dining, four bedrooms, three and a half baths, four car garage, a master bath you won't believe and all the closet space you need.

Have I got your attention yet?  Did I say "Paradise?"  Yes, I meant "Paradise".  If you have been looking for the perfect place and you love the outdoors and want a quality home, make an appointment to see this one.  It is a one of a kind home and this kind of privacy is rare.

I was surprised to read your title.  Here in Hawaii we have always referred to our state as Paradise.  I haven't heard parts of Texas referred to that way.  it must be a wonderful place to live.

Hi Randy,    Thanks for your comments.  I have always referred to the Texas Hill Country as "Paradise".  There is no other place like it.  I love the crystal clear streams and rivers, the cypress trees, the deer and the exotic animals that roam freely, the hills, the great weather, the friendly people and the individual themes of the small towns.  Hawaii is wonderful too, but now you know there is another Paradise also.  Come visit anytime.:)

Thank you Marchel,    I dreamed of living here for 20 years before I could.  It was definitely worth the wait. Next time you get this way, give a holler.

I was wondering when that question would be asked.  It is $1,150,000.  Pretty much in line with yours.  Keep it in your list, please and come see it whenever you want.  I'll give you a personal tour and a great lunch.:)

Ricki, What is the value of the 3 extra lots? Sounds like a good investment.

P.S. that's what we say about San Diego "just another day in paradise."

Hi Bill,     The extra lots (2 are on the water and 1 is not) but they all are together giving them more value.  There is another waterfront lot that touches these also for sale at $75,000.  That's a good deal.  If I were buying this home, I'd definitely buy the other lot as well.  So, does that answer your question?  About $75,000 each for the waterfront lots and a little less for the other one.  Come take a look.  It's a great place for retirement! or not!

Ricki, this is truly a beautiful home!  I could live there -- where the deer and the antelope play!  I loved seeing the antelope babies running (hopping) across the roads!  What a beautiful site.  It must be so peaceful there in the evenings.  I bet you can almost reach up into the sky and touch the stars.  And that creek -- I can just imagine sitting out on the patio in the evenings listening to the creek and looking up at the stars!  Truly Paradise!!!   :)

Thanks Judi,   I could live there too.  It is such a nice home and the surroundings are so inviting.  The creek, the wildlife and the privacy are amenities I cherish.  I hope a buyer comes soon.  I'm falling in love with this place!  :)
