Los Angeles County Beaches--No Fun Allowed

Well, the "Powers That Be" are at it once again.  The other day on the news I just happened to walk in when they were airing a news story about the L. A. County Board of Supervisors placing a ban on footballs and frisbees at the L. A. County beaches!  What?  Why?  Did someone get filmed having FUN?

The outcry was so intense, that one of the supervisors seems to be backpeddling now, saying that they want to give the lifeguards the power to impose measures on crowded beach days, to cease any such activities.  Hey wait a ding dong minute!  Shouldn't the lifeguards be watching the people in the water?

Now they are asking the Director of Beaches and Harbors to attend their next meeting to clarify the interpretation of this entire mess, who they SAY was misinterpreted by the media.  LOL

Oh, and one more thing, there will be NO DIGGING IN THE SAND...unless you are a film crew with a permit!

Here I am LMAO in sunny So Cal.

Football, Frisbees and the beach go together like cake and ice cream. I remember an old cartoon leading to a beach with lots of signs showing all he things you couldn't do and card turning around.

Yeah Alan, I do think the city is gonna take a hit on this issue.  My goodness, the beach is supposed to be a fun place!

Our brilliant government officials moved all of the trash containers off the beach and out to the parking lot.  Needless to say, guess where the trash is now.  This whole country just needs to chill out!

Jean, I'll wait for the follow up after the final meeting - but I expect to hear they will suspend burying people in the sand , unless they are dead.

I understand in a way, but this is just silly.  Of course, most of the rules are.
