I know, what a waste of life and talent... she had an awesome voice when she was younger.
Mary, I couldn't bear to open the video - she was one of my all time favorite performers. Such a loss. I hope she's at peace.
Fred you are correct, it is a very sad waste of life and talent. What a difficult business to be in and still be able to just be you on a regular basis. Thanks so much for commenting.
Hi Ms Juli,
The video is absolutely stunning and shows her as a little girl as well and the two coming together as one. Of course this was made a long time ago, but the message of the song and how she was able to deliver it warms my heart but brings tears to my eyes. When I first heard this song Tommy Edwards was singing it and I was at a period in my life when I needed this lesson, this is why it is so meaningful to me. Whitney had truly one of the best voices in the world, clear, strong and powerful. I know she will live on through her music and I am sure she is now perhaps finally at peace in the arms of the most powerful love of all. Thanks Juli for commenting.
Hi Mary, Happy Belated Valentine's Day to you. Hope you and your husband had a good celebration. Whitney will live on with her beautiful voice and her gifts of music.
HI Debb, thank you so much and I sincerely hope you had a beautiful Valentine's Day as well. We did have a nice evening at home with a good meal and a cocktail. Yes, I believe Whitney will live on as well, I just hope the media will leave well enough alone, we do not need to know the details of how she passed, it is enough that she passed.
First off Mary, I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day! I agree with you that Whitney's version of that song is a music icon. Wonderful stuff!
Perfect song for Valentine's Day and what a loss, that beautiful voice...........so young............
Mary, I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day. I am so sad that we've lost such a beautiful voice. She has left us some wonderful music that will never go away!
Barbara, I agree it is a shame and a loss to what she could have accomplished in the future and for her daughter as well.
Connie, we did have a very nice Valentine's Day, very quiet, nice dinner and peaceful. I am not much for store bought cards because they never really say what I want so I made a video for my husband which brought tears to his eyes. Nice trip down memory lane. This is the link if you want to see: Valentine Video. With respect to Whitney, she really did leave us with great music, her voice was more than amazing.
Mary, I did go see it! What a lot of work you put into it. I'm sure it did bring tears to his eyes!
