Love it or hate it, February 14th is tomorrow! Thankfully, there are a few things to do for Valentine’s Day in Tucson that won’t break your budget or your fun!
You can go cheap chocolate if you want – but why not spend a few extra bucks and go for some good stuff! My picks this year – Chocolate Fox in Downtown Tucson and Sees Candies on Broadway (which BTW – if you go on V-Day – they hand out free samples!)
Woo at the Zoo: The evening includes interactive activities, discussions with the Reid Park Zookeeper, a cash bar and a 3-course dinner. Reservations are $50 a person, and include dinner, dessert, and a ton of cool activities.
What about for kids and a simple night of fun? I think kids are easy. For my daughter – a home-made heart card, a tube of cheap red and pink lip gloss, a clearance “red” shirt from Target, and dinner – a heart shaped pizza from Magpies! Total cost – not even $10 plus the pizza for the family.
Speaking of cheap red clothes ..need something for the day? Target is the way to go for guys, girls and kids - $5 novelty shirts in pink, red or V-day colors on black! While you are there – visit the $1 and $2.50 section for all the V-day trinkets, gifts and cards you need!
Your Valentine not in town or you need time to plan a little more? This one you can save for and surprise your special person with dinner later at the Hacienda Del Sol. Every few months, the Hacienda Del Sol has an all chocolate dinner! The next dinner is scheduled for March 17. It’s $50 for a four-course meal – and considering it is the Hacienda – that’s pretty inexpensive!
