When You Rain...It Pours

Services for Real Estate Pros with Classic Property Management

Not too long ago, I wrote a blog entitled "All Hail the Turkey! Destroyer of the Market!"   It basically talks about the fact that the rental market here in the Antelope Valley tends to slow down during the holiday season.  This year however, a different trend seams to be emerging.  For the past few weeks I have been getting several calls from people who are in a hurry to rent out their homes.  I have also been flooded with calls from people who need to rent a home quickly!  Now, I suspect that there are a few reasons for this phenomenon.

I think that a major contributing factor is the fall of Countrywide.  It is now harder for people to qualify for a home purchase, which in turn, causes the rental market to heat up considerably.  People will always need a place to live.  If they can't buy a home, they might as well rent one!

Another reason for our increase in business is this very website!  I have gotten calls from several home owners this past week who were desperately searching for a high quality property management company.  If it were not for AR they may never have found one! Every single lead that came through the wires came from someone who stumbled across my blog.  Thank heavens that I finally got started on this website!  It just goes to show that a few minutes invested in writing an occasional blog can have a vast influence on your lead volume.  For anyone out there who reads this blog, remember, the best kind of advertising is free advertising!

Well said, Jonathan...I have been on since August, but only really active for the past 4-6 weeks and have not only received referrals, but consumers are now contacting me.

Also, a now client found me on another referral system, but googled me and as a result of my exposure on active rain, was convinced I was the Realtor for them and refused (against my recommendations) to interview anyone else.
