Congratulate me as I just passed the 200,000 point milestone. I am so excited. I have been thinking this week what I have learned in the past 9 months.
1. Our Community- ActiveRain is a great community of professionals with different backgrounds and different careers. We integrate smoothly and learn from each other.
2. Making New Friends- We have friends all over the county and beyond. It’s like learning experience and a visual tour all in one. Members post pictures of lands we have never been to and it is exciting to update our wish list of places to visit.
3. We learn from each other; the latest technology, new tools and products.
4. Morning Routine- I get up earlier to go to ActiveRain and read posts and comments on my posts. I love to drink coffee, watch the news and read comments. It is like getting mail or cards and so exciting to hear from others.
5. Photography Skills- I have become a photo-blogger and love it. I used to just think about real estate. Now I also think about taking pictures to post. Planning my day to include a few photos enroute to a meeting or inspection. Making sure to carry my camera with me so I never miss a shot. Unfortunately I still forget my camera sometimes but my new iPhone takes pretty good pictures in a pinch.
6. Computer Skills- I knew very little about the computer when I started and have expanded my knowledge and my business tenfold. This is so important for us all!
7. Milestones- I look forward to the next year and making my next milestone; 300,000 points. 500,000 is my true target but I believe in baby steps.
8. Target- Staying on Target: I need to stay on target and post 10 a week and comment at least 10 times per day or more and reblog others too.
9. Contests- I have so much fun and learn a lot plus we get extra points which increase our score.
10. Invitations- I think ActiveRain is so wonderful…so I invite any new agents, lenders, inspectors, reps etc. to join.
11. Featured Articles-This is one place I have ‘failed’ so far. I thought I wrote some great posts but apparently ActiveRain did not agree. I will keep trying but it is disheartening sometimes.
12. Cheers- Here’s to the next year and beyond for all of us.
