Having a great image is important. Great tips on keeping up with what is on the internet.
Stella, thank you for stopping by. Welcome to ActiveRain. I find this is a good exercise for anyone in business today, not just those of us in real estate.
Emily,
That was interesting! Tons of photos from not only my blogs, but blogs I have commented on are included in my images. Most of them have nothing to do with me. I think I am pretty safe here but my grankids, not so much...
Emily, saw this as a reblog on Marge's blog. I will be checking this out!
Good advice to remember. The web is for ALL to see.
It was intersting that my results were different if I used the quotes around my name.
Marge, thank you for the reblog. It is awesome how we pass info forward. I think it is fascinating how we are now data!
Rebecca, thanks to google, those of us who are active participants online have a portfolio of images which keeps expanding. Thanks for stopping by.
Kevin, no kidding. What is important is for us to see how we are seen too.
Scot, they are also different if you connect your first and last name as well and also in quotes. We are in a new world.
Hi Emily, It is a great advice, we have to be careful with what we write and comments also.
If you don't want the world to see what you're saying and doing don't put it on the internet. It will certainly come back to bite you.
Hi Emily - You're right about the importance of checking visual represntation, and it was an interesting exercise. A bunch of images from my blog posts came up, along with a persistent photo of some really good-looking guy who sells real estate.
Emily - I missed this. I think it is extremely important that we be seen as professionals at all times. But, we can't always control what our friends put up. If I'm not happy I untag it and then at least it's not on my page :)
Toni, good advice on the "tagging" experience. What is important is that we monitor our online presence.
Hi Emily. This is so TRUE! I have Googled my name, and checked out all those images, but I am not as "Good Looking as Dick" in comment # 11 above. We do need to be aware of how the public sees us.
