FYI Colorado agents and appraisers, save money!!!!!!.

You know that we get charged on our Colorado MLS by month plus by time.  $ 3.00/Hour or $ .05 by minute. I still do not like this, but I can not do anything right now, I just need to stand it.. I Have seen that some other fellows out of state they just pay something monthly and that's it, not our case.

Ok, at least  the good news about this for some of you that did not know is:
1) Every 15th day of every month our Colorado  MLS is Unlimited, yes as you read it, you can use it as many hours you want and you will not be additionally charged per minute or hour.
2)  If you are using the MLS system, (Prime Access or Mymls) through the web and you do not Click "Sign Out" You will be charged for 10 whole minutes, so that means $ 0.50 for all session, It does not matter if you just used it for 1 minute or 2 minutes. Every time you join and exit and do the same mistake, it will be in that way.
For example, lets suppose that I enter and I am searching for a property and my time was 2 minutes and I just close it directly from y web browser it will be $0.50, then I enter again and I search another property and I make the same mistake and I close it with the red "X" from my web browser and I do that several times a day, because I am looking for information, homes, etc.  all the time that you do this is  $0.50, multiply that for the times that you enter every time. You will see what I am talking about.  Now that I know this, I do not ever make the same mistake. Check the graphics for the proper way to enter and exit when you are in our Colorado MLS.

PS: I learned that in the hard way.

Ray, as a Loan Officer I do not have access to the MLS, but if I did I don't think I would like paying those fees, that can get expensive in a hurry.

Ray, we have a monthly charge and I'm just blown away that you get charged by the hour.  I spend HOURS on ours.  I'm constantly kicking myself out, I guess if I was getting charged I would learn by my mistakes also, especially when it is hurting my pocket book.

Hey George, it is not fair that, and the reason is that you need to ask or you need to take a class to get aware of this, I believe that someway it is on purpose. but I learned the on the hardway.

Marchel,
imagine? I know that some other agents do not have this problem, it is just colorado or some states that they do that, that is not fair, but what can I do? there is not many people that complain about it, so they see that is normal and maybe a revolution will be good LOL.

Ray--This could really add up...What a pain! We are charged a flat monthly fee...I don't think I would like this system very much. It could be very expensive!

Teri,

I do not like the system on that way too, it is a steal !!!!!  but it will be awesome that many agents complaint about it and they would change the way that they do it, in the metro denver area is the one that everybody uses it.

PS: MLS will scream about it if we complain, because thanks for that they are making so much money.

Ray - Yikes this is expensive! I'm always on the mls, I can't imagine what my monthly fees would be under your system. Why hasn't your board looked into other mls systems that charge a flat rate and help their members save money?

Sandra,

the problem is that all agents use this or at least 95% so imagine if I change to other cheaper, I will not find the properties those are listing in the expensive one, it is a crime what they are doing, hopefully one day in the near future we will have unlimited time, just a monthly fee, I am willing to pay more monthly maybe 10 dollars more and have unlimited access instead to have the limit, I doubt it that it will change, they are doing so much money with the extra accumulated time.

Ray - I  understand that...why hasn't your state of local board looked into a cheaper MLS?
