My parents arrived Tuesday to visit for Thanksgiving, so I worked a half-day.
Wednesday I took off.
Thursday was Thanksgiving.
Friday was off.
Today was off.
Tomorrow is an Open House.
I feel like I'm way behind the 8-ball now for taking so much time off. This is proof-positive that I'll never retire because I'd be too bored. Am I addicted to my work?
Anyone else feel guilty when they take a string of days off?

I hear you...I lost Wednesday - Friday...I had to meet a home inspector today instead of using a Saturday to show homes or do an open house. Tis the season!
lol AMEN Mike. I don't see this career as a "J-O-B" and they will have to force me to retire because I won't go willingly! When I got up this morning I said straight out (probably the first words out of my mouth after "Is the coffee ready") .. was, "I am not taking one more day OFF till Christmas"! UGG -- a day without work leaves me feeling very unproductive and for every day I am forced to take a "break" it takes me 2 days to stop yawning lol.
The holidays always throw a kink into things...but since I live about 400 yards from the office, its still easy to sneak in for a couple of hours work.
I took Thursday off, but have been active both yesterday and today. Wait, I even posted here in Thursday, so maybe I didn't take off. Maybe I need a few days.. anyone got a beach house I can borrow?
It seems like even on the days off there is work though... checking voicemail/email answering a few.... thinking about what we have to do next week etc. It never ends :)
I have loved the last couple of days off, I rarely take any time and it is delightful to just stay home, sleeping in, watching videos, cooking and working around the house. I refuse to feel an ounce of guilt, to live life we have to have a balance that includes some pleasure on top of the work-a-day life.
