My parents arrived Tuesday to visit for Thanksgiving, so I worked a half-day.

Wednesday I took off.

Thursday was Thanksgiving.

Friday was off.

Today was off.

Tomorrow is an Open House.

I feel like I'm way behind the 8-ball now for taking so much time off.  This is proof-positive that I'll never retire because I'd be too bored.  Am I addicted to my work?

Anyone else feel guilty when they take a string of days off?

I hear you...I lost Wednesday - Friday...I had to meet a home inspector today instead of using a Saturday to show homes or do an open house.  Tis the season!

lol AMEN Mike. I don't see this career as a "J-O-B" and they will have to force me to retire because I won't go willingly! When I got up this morning I said straight out (probably the first words out of my mouth after "Is the coffee ready") .. was, "I am not taking one more day OFF till Christmas"! UGG -- a day without work leaves me feeling very unproductive and for every day I am forced to take a "break" it takes me 2 days to stop yawning lol.

I think this kind of guilt is endemic to us self employed types.  You don't hear salaried people complaining about too much time off...

The holidays always throw a kink into things...but since I live about 400 yards from the office, its still easy to sneak in for a couple of hours work.

Wait a minute... did we get time off? LOL

I took Thursday off, but have been active both yesterday and today. Wait, I even posted here in Thursday, so maybe I didn't take off. Maybe I need a few days.. anyone got a beach house I can borrow?

Have a great Sunday!

It seems like even on the days off there is work though... checking voicemail/email answering a few.... thinking about what we have to do next week etc. It never ends :)

I have loved the last couple of days off, I rarely take any time and it is delightful to just stay home, sleeping in, watching videos, cooking and working around the house.  I refuse to feel an ounce of guilt, to live life we have to have a balance that includes some pleasure on top of the work-a-day life.

We're still in the office! Been here the whole T-Giving Holiday, practically.... Just took the T-Day off to spend with family and friends.

Today will be my last day of indulgence.

I'm going to the gym, then watching football until the Eagles ruin the Pats' perfect season. :)

Tomorrow morning, the full court press is on!
