Another bridge. This one was murder. The 3D running club organized the 5K Jingle Bell run in Centennial Park, Fort Myers, Florida. The race went over the Caloosahatchee river bridge to North Fort Myers and back. Murder I say! I felt this bridge was more of a challenge than the Cape Coral bridge.
It had not dawned on me (I've never run this race before) that it's called the jingle bell run because they give you shoe laces with bells on them and the whole running crowd jingles. I tied my laces and bells to my camelback and jingled almost all the way. I ran so hard I blew my bells off!
The winners are generally "machines" with the 3D running club, they may actually be cyborgs. Amazing creatures with not a scrap of fat on them. They're generally done running by the time I hit the 1/2 way point. ::tip of hat::
Someone has to bring up the rear, right?
Enjoy the video and listen for the jingle bells.
