Thanks for sharing. It's amazing what motivated and passionate people can accomplish.

I couldn't agree with you more Midori, staying power helps also. Staying active helped me the most.

To achieving a full life, one must remain aware of ones self and ones environment. Otherwise life slips away unnoticed and unexperienced.

I couldn't agree more. Thsi is not an easy business and if someone makes a commitment to it or any other business for that matter, they need to be committed and dedicated.

Chuck Wepner the Bayonne bleeder...that was what the movie was based on. Stallone was surely committed. Became very successful and came from nothing...

That's right Nancy and we all have it...we just have to figure out what we are passionate about!

Rocky was one of my all time favorite movies - it showed me at an early age that anything is possible if you believe.!

John-My mom is a perfect example She is so active...I still can't figure out how she does it all! I am very much like her...I do as much as I can everyday. The more I do...the more activities the more interactions...the more interactions the more possibilities the more possibilities to more opportunities....I could go on and on. Life...I say go for it and really live it!

Midori, that video was unbelievable, I had not heard the story of him. Oh, he bought back his dog, and got a part in Rocky. How heart warming, when I saw it was 9 minutes I almost didn't listen but I am so glad I did.

Neal-It is one of my favorite stories...a man with the odds against him and he did it! We as Realtors are armed and dangerous if we have our tools...tools for success..its doesn't happen over night you have to build...you have to work...you have to keep going...and going and going.

Alecia-There certain movies with certain scenes that really get me fired up! I love all the Rocky's including the last one...its my favorite...

Hi Jan you figured me out...there is always a method to my madness and yes there are many messages here on my posts.

My mesage is quit feeling sorry...get out there and keep plugging away. If you decide to be in this business give it your all. 2008 is coming...and you know what you better be ready! You better be armed and dangerous with knowledge and skill...most of all you better be ready to work harder than ever! Real Estate is not hard work...but it is challenging, emotional and can be difficult!

Those that know it, accept and embrace will have a better shot. There is money to be made, there is new contacts to be made, there is tons of real estate to sell.....go....and get your share of the market! If the reader gets at least one of my messages in my mind...its helpful!

Market swings are a way of life and people need to get used to it!

I love all the Rocky movies. It's great to hear that in real life his goals were to inspire people and he never gave up. It proves that perservance truly pays! Another great movie is the Pursuit of Happyness. I love these motivational movies.

An inspirational message does a great job of preparing me to move through the day with grace, hope and faith that knowledge, combined with persistence, will be rewarded. Your post was my dose for today!

As I say nose to the grindstone and focused on the big picture with baby steps to get there!!

What a good post at the right time of year. This is the time when we get sidetracked with three day weekends, holidays, and such. But staying motivated is what pushes you past the idle times.

Ryan-I know what exactly you are saying...The holidays are not just a few days here and there...its 2 months prior...we need to get ready for next year and make the most of this year for business. Its at this time of year...we loose our focus.

Midori, these times are man made. So there are man made solutions. Get creative, I am still writing business and doing well. For most these times will pass just keeping working.

Well said Midori! Sometimes, the key is very simple and right there in front of us as we work all the while knocking ourselves out to get on top. Continuous effort and for me determination has always been what has worked and it's not the fast track but it sure is effective.

Many just sit and wait for the phone to ring! The old saying is, if you ask you might get a "no" but your might get a "yes". If you increase the number of people you ask, you'll increase the number of "yes" responses! Get out there an meet people instead of waiting for the phone to ring! Ask yourself, "What can I do to make the phone ring today?"
