I blogged earlier about Ann Arbor real estate, the low, the high, and the most high.  I also wished Michgan good luck in the OSU game - is it bad luck to say good luck in football, sort of like saying, "break a leg" to the theater group?  Maybe it was me who jinxed them.   I hope not.

Anyway, two of my three deals I mentioned that day look like sure things and my third deal I am going to salvage if it kills me.  The listing agent knows they have an interested buyer and a difficult lender who doesn't understand local real estate.  We are going to approach local lenders - problem solved, we hope.

My most high deal became sweeter upon inspection.  The verdict was that the property was very sound, despite age, and had some repairs needed but not astromical.  Buyers were not scared.  In fact they were thrilled when the inspection managed to coax the pocket door out of its enclosure, with a pry bar to elevate it above the existing carpet, and discovered it to be intact and solid maple.  Bonus!

Some weeks are golden.  This was one for Thanks-giving!

Susan, congratulations on your pending transactions.  I also wish U of M would have been at the top of their game - nothing is sweeter than beating OSU.   BTW, I love old pocket doors!

It's good that some things do become better with age. Congrats!

Thanks for your comments, all.  Not being a native Michigander, I was baffled by the football mania when we first arrived here over 9 years ago.  We keep an eye on the games but don't worry about the outcome; you can't live here and not know the schedule (driving difficulties around town) or the final score.  Addictive for many, like AR!
