Green Man in Sylva Vista - Wordless Wednesday

Another photo from one of my many visits to Sylva Vista. I am intrigued by the legend and artwork of the Green Man and like to capture the images whenever they move me. Green Man, for me, reminds me that we all must act as guardians for nature and our planet. Our role is to act as mentors and role models to others, be visible as we treat the world as kindly and ethically as we wish to be treated. Ahhhh, the Golden Rule again...

Hi Mona, I have some plaques like this on my front porch guarding over the house. They are concrete molds so gray in color. My favorite nursery in parker (Tagawa Nursery) sells these cool trinkets.

Hi Belinda, my friend in Sylva Vista has a number of "renditions" of Green Man and I like every one of them.

Andrea, I've never heard of Waldgeist but sounds like the German cousin...yes, very much a spirit of the forest.
