Hudson Street Cafe
I had lunch today. Nothing new as I actually have lunch most days. Soup, salad, a sandwich of sorts is the norm. Today I was fortunate to be at my office in Cornwall NY and my broker invited me to lunch. Where to go was the question. I had heard of a little coffee shop in the heart of Cornwall, but didn’t know the name, or just where it was. Cornwall is not very big so we decided to just see if I could remember just where it was and if it still existed.
Just down the street from the famous Gazebo in the center of Cornwall we found this quaint little coffee shop called the Hudson Street Cafe. We were able to find street parking very easily and headed into the shop to see just what they had to offer. We were greeted quickly and seated in a very unassuming dining room. Local art work was on the walls for display. It seems that some of the artists were local children. Such a nice touch.
The place was actually quite busy. The restaurant had quite an extensive lunch menu, not to mention quite vegetarian friendly. This alone was sure to impress me!
Although a new find for me, it is obvious why this cute little cafe is so busy. Our sandwiches were quite tasty and service was great. Our waitress was quite amiable and most helpful in answering all our questions. This is definitely on my list of places to return to. Being down the road from my office will certainly help with the logistics of frequenting this establishment. I am also told that they serve amazing pancakes. So, I am sure to find myself here some weekend for a nice leisurely breakfast with my husband.
I just love finding new restaurants. I am glad to have found Hudson Street Cafe!
