1007 Sattui Court - Franklin, TN...
Sadly, far too many real estate agents have the misconception that slide show presentations are videos. Far from it.
In this presentation of 1007 Sattui Court in Franklin, TN; Marla Richardson of Realty Trust Residential show cases her latest listing in the Stags Leap Subdivision in Southeast Franklin, TN.

Morning Sir while the home and video is great it seemed a little long for me.  Over 6 minutes I lost my interest after the first 2.

Michael, beautifully done but I also would say it is too long to hold a buyers interest...imho...she may want it that way but stats say it works better shorter..

Michael: The video is beautiful. I have to agree with James and Ginny that 6 minutes is a little long. My last couple came in at about 5 minutes, with professional videographers and I thought they were a bit long as well. Also, the child's room was a little fuzzy is parts. I don't know if that is my laptop, AR or what.

Good morning Michael,

Lovely presentation of a well designed upscale home. However I have to agree the video is way too long to hold buyers attention! With video's of a listing..less is indeed more :).  The music is perfect..the subject is lovely..the execution is perfect.....just too long :).

Good morning,  Anne. I purposefully blocked out the children's names. This one is longer because it is one of the larger properties in the subdivision...

Nice video and it flowed well. I would have concur that it seemed a little on the long side, but that's because I'm not interested in purchasing that house. If I was a buyer and interested in homes within that subdivision, then I would definitely be interested in watching the whole video.

I think for the intended purpose it's just right.

Have an AWESOME day!

Mike,

I suspect a lot of people are going to be like me and not sit around for a six minute commercial about a house. The video itself is spectacular but if I only watch the first two minutes...what am I missing.

Any studies to show what the best video length is for the internet?

Good evening, Rich. Studies show that 4-5 minutes is about right for most properties. The purpose is to let folks get the "feel" of the property so they can make a better decision...

Michael, that is one fine job, but the subject matter was equally as fine. The comments on length are appropriate, almost to maybe having 2 videos with the second one for the discriminating buyer

Hey Big Scorpio - it's good to see you! I agree wholeheartedly - there is a big difference between a slide show with just pictures and maybe some words than a video with someone drawing you in and keeping your attention while they explain the subject matter as in this excellent video! I'm actually working on my first staging video - it's not as easy as it looks, but definitely worth it!

Michael: That makes sense. On the length I agree, the house is a very large home. You are a pioneer with respect to video. We are not seeing long videos in our market. I have to say, the homes I have marketed with videos (all about 5 minutes) have sold very quickly.
