Chickee is the new word of the day.
I’ve seen these but not lately. This for where it is located would be cheap to build. If they say necessity is the reason you can sure put this one on the menu. I bet ya this one was difficult to build with the tools at hand. Anyway the meaning of (chik’e) is a Seminole Indian house built on stilts, with open sides and a thatched roof of palm leaves.
Now I am going to have to google the images to see what one looks like! Sounds like a secure place.

I've seen some gorgeous homes on concrete stilts out on Pine Island in Hernando County, Fl. but no thatched roofs-for sure. They could be called Chick-Elites. :-)
