Composition: Within Every Photograph is Another One

Pink Azaleas

Within most every photograph is the one that will stand out as unique or more beautiful because of the focus on one small part of it. This photo originated from one that was a not so unusual selction of the flowers on an Azalea bush.

By segmenting one small section and positioning it for a more dramitic appearance, the overall affect is one that highlights the beauty of one bloom after a rain left water droplets giving a more natural look.

Hi Margaret, Actually it had been raining just a ittle before when I took this. But I am never adverse to spraying flowers for the fresh morning dew or rain look but I didn't have to do that here.  Mother Nature did it, :-)

Absolutely gorgeous.  I had a friend that used to go around with a mister to take photos.  Used to crack me up, but he got some great shots.  This one is fantastic and showcases your talent.

Hi Mimi, I would do that as well. For this cluster though, it was taken after a rain shower. The darkened sky and dark green foliage made adjusting the contrast easier to darken the background and highlighting more of the flower cluster.

William,

The colors and the clarity of the rain drops are beautiful, and tell a story of their own.  It is a part of the whole and yet it stands on its own, one does not need the whole azalea bush to know what it is.  It is represents its species in a complete and beautiful manner.  In Japan azaleas are the favorite bonsai plant because of its simplicity and beauty.  A

That is a stunning photo, I love the brilliant tones of the azaleas and am fortunate enough to have quite a few planted around my home here in Dallas.

Good Morning Alexandra, I love Bonsai trees but didn't know the azalea was a japanese favorite. I would bet they would be stunning. Thanks for enhancing the post.

Hi Roy, You are expert at this so I don't think it is much of a lesson for you, :-)

Hi Lisa, Dallas is one of my favorite cities and one of the most beautiful displays of azaleas is along Turtle Creek. On Easter weekend, it is like a floral celebration there. There is a very long story of how I ended up with RE/MAX that happened there while observing Azaleas. Someday I will write that story. I will always have a speciial place in my heart for that city. It is an amazing place to live.

Hi Keith, Thank you so much. While I wouldn't call it perfection, I was pleased with the results of the segmented original.

Yes William!  Burt is not quite what he was in that centerfold.  I actually saw him once a couple of decades ago, and I was pretty amazed at what they could do with an airbrush for goodness sake:-)  With an airbrush like that, plastic surgery isn't needed:-)

Hi Myrl, LMAO. You always know how to make me smile. The visual of your comment is too funny. I used to see him now and then, I lived only a mile down the road from his ranch.
