Rental Price is firm.

Potential tenant calls.  Asks, “Will they come down on rent?”

Not much.  What are you thinking of for rent?   $600 a month less than the rent amount.

No.  But thanks for the call and good luck.

And that's when it starts….. But why?

Why won’t the landlord:

  • Drop the rent price to half the listed amount?
  • At least consider it?
  • Consider it with a long, long lease?
  • Understand that I’m going to get a second job then I can pay more later on?
  • Understand that the home isn’t worth the rent price?
  • Understand our financial situation?

Smiling and thinking of my daughter at age 4 – she was so cute – even when my answer was, “Because.”

Your right "because" is a good answer.

Good luck and success.

And the rent is too high, compared to what? There is plenty of unseen overhead figured into rent such as taxes and insurance.

Gabrielle - LOL! My mother used to say,"Because I said so!" and it would drive me crazy! I swore I would never do that to my kids. Oh well, yet another broken promise to myself! Have a great day!!
