Economic growth in the U.S. slowed

in the third quarter to a 2 percent annual rate, dragged down by

the biggest decline in home building in 15 years.

The government's final estimate of growth in gross domestic

product, the value of all goods and services produced, was down

from the 2.2 percent rate estimated last month and compares with

2.6 percent for the second quarter, the Commerce Department said

today in Washington . A measure of core inflation was unchanged

from the previous estimate.

Home construction declined by the most since 1991, and

consumer spending on medical services was less than previously

reported, per the Department of commerce. Federal Reserve policy

makers last week forecast a moderate expansion ``on balance over

coming quarters'' and called recent economic indicators ``mixed.''

Mixed or not, I beleive year 2007 will be much better year than 2006

for real estate markets all over the country.

Eli, I hope your crystal ball is right, even though I had a good year in 2006, I could use a better one in 2007.

Hi George, Thanks for stopping by...I hope so too...There is a phrase I like to use here and there, showing how optimistic I am in life : 'even on a day that I should die on, I would say tomorrow will be better...now let's work for it...' It might sound stupid, but I've been in situations in my life, that if I wasn't such optimistic, I may never climbed up again...HOPE is always good.
