Hi Joan,
I am not a big fan of driving in the mountaris during the winter months so my husband always drives me when I have a listing up there. It is nice to drive up the curvy roads and see the rough terrain. I love to look at the trees and the wildlife plus the homes are so cute.
Have a great weekend.
Hi Sharon, Thanks for stopping and I am with you; I like the bottom photo the best. I am a fan of clouds.
Hope your weekend is successful and fun.
Hi Myrl,
Thanks so much for the special honor of being featured in the group "Photos". As I mentioned above, I like the third picture the best. I wish I could just float on those clouds as they look so soft. But really want to keep my feet on the ground.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Hi John,
I like your analogy. Yummy, I love chocolate with powdered sugar and whipped cream so what a nice way to descrpe the picture....maybe a scoop of ice cream too. The San Bernardino Mountains are beautiful but they must get rid of the beetles killing off our trees. It is so sad.
Hi Roberta,
Thanks for the complement. It was kind of funny. I took some pictures with my OK camera. Came home and didn't even download them. Got out my new Cannon EOS and drove about 8 miles until I found the perfect spot to take the photos. I am very particular. But then I went to another area of town and found a better picture spot so I took more photos. Came home and the last two and the first one were my picks. I just had to get the right spot. Big Bear is a special mountain resort area and deserves the fine turning.
Hi David,
Thanks so much for stopping by. I have never seen the Colorado mountains except in my daughters pictures as she hiked there for her high school graduation but no snow in June. Hope to see them someday in person. Have a nice weekend.
Hi Patricia,
The roads are steep and curvy so the only way to get over them without is chain is in the air. Ha Ha. They are beautiful and I cannot wait for a warm day so I can go and take some bird pictures up in Lake Arrowhead...my favorite.
Hi Steve,
Yes the mountains Sparkle like gold or silver when the sun hits the snow. It is beautiful up in the San Bernadino mountains. Have a nice weekend.
We got about 6 inches down in the Lake Arrowheadd area.... Beautiful pictures!
Hi Kat,
I tried to get a picture of Lake Arrowhead. I had an appointment all afternoon so when I went back to take the picture, most of the snow had melted as it was really warm the day after. I wanted a picture of both mountains. So next snow storm I will get a good one early in the morning. I go to BB but Lake Arrowhead is my favorite mountain resort anywhere. The lake is so pretty and the village is nice. Just a great place to spend the day at.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful photographs!
Have an outstanding week.
Very nice Kristin. Snow in the mountains is good for winter time fun - the photos are lovely. Thanks for sharing them with us and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
As always, you've got great photos there! Thanks for my late afternoon vicarious vacation!
Hi Roy,
Thanks for stopping and sharing a comment. I appreciate it and hope your week will be wonderful.
Hi Debb,
Thanks so much for stopping and hope you are having a spectacular weekend as well. The San Bernardino Mountains are beautiful this time of the year.
Hi Laura,
So nice to hear from you and thanks for the compliment. I have a real love of taking pictures and now have a much better camera so that should improve my skill eventually.
Beautiful pictures Kristin! There is definitely something that deserves a big wow in those mountains!
Hi Debra,
Yes it is a beautiful mountain peak and the snow hangs on it so long as it seems to be the coldest around here and that is where everyone skis and snowboards too. Thanks for stopping.
Kristin, beautiful photos, that first one somehow reminds me of an old three-dimensional map I used to have as a kid on which the mountains were raised and you could feel the elevation by running your fingers over the map. Hadn't thought about that for many years!
Hi Silive,
The actual mountains are even more beautiful than the picture. I love those kinds of maps where you run your fingers across them and feel the rough terrain. I hadn't thought of that kind of map in years either. Before the internet, kids had to use their imagination more than they do now.
