Who’s the Best Date in Denver? A Homeowner!

By
Real Estate Agent with Bandy Homes

Dating Denver HomeownersIf you invite that certain someone back to your place after a date, you’ll have a better chance of success if you own it rather than rent it. In fact, you’ll have a better chance of getting the date in the first place.

In a recent survey of 1,000 singles conducted for Trulia, over 33 percent of women and 18 percent of men said they would date a Denver homeowner  over a renter.

Stated a different way, only 2 percent of women and 3 percent of men said they would prefer to date a renter.

If you live alone in your Denver home, sixty-two percent of the surveyed singles would date you over an owner with roommates. And if you’re living with your parents, you’ll be lucky to even get noticed. Less than 5 percent of those surveyed would date someone living in their parents’ home.

Apparently your dating prospects also improve based on the amenities in your Denver property. Survey participants said they preferred homes with a master bath, walk-in closets, gourmet kitchens, hardwood floors, outdoor decks, and home theaters.

So if the investment and equity building of homeownership aren’t enough to move you to become a Denver home buyer, remember that you’ll also be first choice in the dating pool. So what are you waiting for?

So instead of asking "what's your sign?" you should be asking "what's your mortgage rate?"
