I had the opportunity last weekend to visit Leesburg and stay with a family friend who lives in River Creek CC(very lovely ) The town seems so clean and pretty easy to navigate, made it thru two tolls without getting lost!

I did get a scare/ surprise when the train sped by up the middle of the freeway- I wasnt expecting that!(its been a long time since I was a city girl! )

Only stayed one nite- or I would have looked you up! ( I was taking my son to Coast Guard HQ in Wash DC )

Lenn: Historic Leesburg may be small is size, but from your photos, a guy like me could get happily lost there for a month! I've been at Elder Son's historic farm with the rest of the family (and kept away from their computer) this past week+ for Thanksgiving. The buildings were all built between 1855 & 1870. My son leases out all but the 5 acres around the farmstead, and that is almost a living museum of 19th Century farming.

The correct spelling is Dodona Manor, and it's actually located about a block from the Courthouse complex along Edwards Ferry Road
