I cannot prove it, not having done any research on this myself, but I believe being POSITIVE leads to being PRODUCTIVE.  How can it not?

Being positive enables you to be enthusiastic.  Enthusiasm gets you motivated, Motivation gets you going.  Now you are well on your way to being productive.  It is very important that we surround ourselves with positive people not only in the business part of our lives but in all aspects of our life. 

How can you:

• Sell real estate unless you are convinced that over the long run it is a wonderful investment.
• Invest in the stock market unless you again believe that in the long run you will come out the richer for it.
• Go to college unless you are convinced you have the ability to learn.
• Apply for a job unless you are confident you can not only learn it, you can learn to do it very well.
• Establish friendships unless you felt that others would care about you also.
• Marry unless you feel that you are entering into a life long partnership.
• Have children unless you believe that you can offer them the guidance and skills to grow and mature so they might have a rich fulfilling life.
• Have hope for this world unless you opened yourself to all the wonderful things in it.

Being in a positive mood is not always easy...in fact not always possible.  If you are not able, for whatever reason, to be in a positive mood think twice about going into the office.  Think twice about complaining to fellow agents.  Think twice (and this is a hard one) about whether you should be going on that listing appointment or out with a buyer client, it may be counter-productive.
