I posted this photo in our blog Iraq Diaries which are emails from our son who is currently in Iraq, but as it is buried in one of the comments I just wanted to repost just this photo as it speaks volumes about the young men who are serving in Iraq.
Jeremy, Malachi Even and Jason Mann prayed before each mission we left. Here we're joined by Steven Kaliszewski and in later days we invited another guy we saw reading a Bible. I also saw from later pictures that people were watching so it's good to bring people together before the Lord, whether you're in the circle or not. We took turns praying each day for the safety of our guys, that the iraqi's would fight us clean and that we'd be successful in our tasks.
You do have a group around you like this. Every person in the group will come around you and pray. We may not be physically there with you, but we are spiritually and we have our arms around you just like God. Remember, everything works out for good for those who love the lord. it is in the storms when our faith is tested and our trust is revealed. Lean upon the everlasting arms and let God comfort you in the midst of the storm assured that he is your refuge and your fortress, shelter beneath his wings, and rest. Remember it is not our effort but his that takes us to heaven and gives us life. So raise your head and look into His glorious face and know that you are loved and never alone.
Thank you for sharing...I have a nephew and son's of about 8 friends serving our country right now....I pray for them each and every day...now for these young men as well.
Thanks for stopping by. we appreciate all the prayer we can gather. Jeremy is a prolific writer and photographer, if you are interested go to our blog Iraq Diaries and you can read his emails and see photos. Just scroll down through the comments. As new emails arrive I post them in the comments.
All these young men are amazing, as much as we hear of support etc for them we do not fully appreciate what they endure for our freedom. I pray that not only will they all return physically well but that they will all be mentally healthy as well.
We are ( as a country) truly blessed to have young men like these going to war for us. And still have the courage to stick to their faith. GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!
I have a picture like that and I sometimes put it in
posts or on my computer system as wallpaper....
I am going through some tough times as the emotions
come and go as I get used to being single again...
How I wish I had a group like that around me.....
Sometimes I feel so alone.....
