I am so proud of my godson, 22 years old, bought his first house in Tuscon, AZ. We saw it this past Thanksgiving holiday.
Our family did the road trip from the San Francisco to Arizona. No GPS, no Maps, late at night to arrive in Tuscon at 11AM last Wed morning. Somehow we made it, taking turns driving with a 75 lb collie/aussie mix on my lap and twin teenage girls. We were all excited to spend time with our friends and godchildren.
My godson's mother said Ryan went into the bank himself, talked to a loan officer, and came out qualified to buy a home!! He was so excited to start looking. A buyer we all dream about having! One that is pre-qualified and ready to move in the next day. NOTE:Great loan, 30 year fixed. so don't think it can not be done!
For less than $200,000 he bought a beautiful 3 bedroom 2 bath home lovingly maintained by original owners. He even has a grass lawn, which you do not see in Tuscon very much! Our dog, Tate, loved it. He did not know what to do with all the sandy yards.
My godson is so proud and happy to have a place to call his own. Made his first house payment. OF course mom and dad are losing all their old furniture, Tupperware, plates, etc. And he calls to find out what is for supper several times a week. His godmother (me) signed him up for the Lowes' 10% off coupon and sent a Lowes card!
Yes, folks it can be done!! SOLD to a 22 year old feet on the ground, hardworking, paramedic! (did I mention single)
