In a recent article that I read, Donald Trump suggests "Know as much as we can". He goes on to talk about enhancing your knowledge in a variety of subjects when you are dealing with well educated people. Read literature, history or something outside of your usual interests a few times a week. While we can't know EVERYTHING we should know as much as we can. I find this to be extremely helpful in aiding the gain of respect and trust in business.

Point taken ... I read the Wall Street Journal everyday ... not because i am a financial wizard, but because the articles are well written and have stories on such a wide variety of industries. I often find myself in a conversation that starts something like ... "I read in the Wall Street Journal that ... "

I think that is a great suggestion. I just picked up a few books the other day, but I think it is also important to keep up on current events. Thanks for the post.

Christin, I believe in reading everyday. I spend about two hours each day. From my daily AR reading to SUN TZU The Art of War. Knowledge is power.

I do not understand how people can start the day without a workout, reading a newspaper and watch 1/2 hour of CNN headline news.
